Important Instructions!

Proper installation of the License Plate Loover is the key to successfully blocking photo radar. If you do not install the Loover correctly it will not work! Because all vehicles are different there is no standard installation, you may need to make a few adjustments until it works.

Some plates are angled upward; the Loover must be slightly tilted forward or downward. Use a level to make sure the Loover is leaning forward slightly, being careful to not block the view from a car driving behind you. If the plate is perfectly flat and not angled upward go to step A, if your plate is angled upward and not perfectly flat use step B in addition to A.

  1. Simply remove the existing screws from your plate making sure to put the spacers included in-between the Loover and the plate. Feed the screws through the Loover and the spacers and the plate at the same time. Then screw it into the car all at once (you may leave your license plate bracket on). Depending on what type of screws are on your plate you may need to replace them with longer ones (we do not include any screws because all vehicles use different screws, do not let this stop you, you can easily pick up a couple screws from any hardware store) It is very important that you do not tighten the screws too tight because you do not want the Loover to buckle. It is ok to have some play in it, however it should not come off when you pull on it.
  2. If you have followed section A and the Loover is not angled down after testing it with a level, it may be necessary to use additional spacers and even longer screws until the Loover is angled down slightly. Note: if you angle it down too far the cars behind you will not be able to read your plate. You want an equal balance so the police can read your plate but the plate cannot be photographed from above.
If your vehicles license plate is 3 feet off the ground or higher you may need to angle it down much further than on most cars, this can be done by first testing it. Have someone hold the Loover against the plate while you step back approximately 50 feet. Have the person holding the Loover tilt the Loover forward until you can just see the plate clearly but if you went any further you could not. Now measure the distance from the top of the Loover to the plate, that is where you will need to lock it into place using nuts and bolts. Bring the screws from your plate to the hardware store and find 2 bolts that are the length that you measured and 4 nuts that fit it, use the nut to lock the Loover in place and to hold the bolt into the car.
